Note 1: We cannot confirm who the parents of “Alase” [Alma? or Elise?] Gassenheimer, born in February 1979 and died on 12 January 1879, was. She could have been a daughter of Gustave and Minnie Gassenheimer or Selig and Rosa (née Strauss) Gassenheimer. Given the dates of her birth and death, she would not have been captured in either the 1870 or 1880 Census and the only record available is a death certificate, which does not identify parents.
