The Family of Alma Heimannsohn

In 2017, Albrecht Will of Tangerhütte wrote me as follows:
“I am a regional researcher in Tangerhütte and am currently working on trade and commerce since 1850.
I came across your site because of the name Heimannsohn.
Julius Heimannsohn from Pyritz is in the local business book of 1909 as a merchant of  “Coffee, Chocolate und Kakao.” About 1904, Julius’s sister Martha founded and owned a department store, which within its context was quite large, and which she called “Berliner Kaufhaus.”

At present I know more about Martha than about Julius. Martha Heimannsohn died on June 9th, 1940 in her apartment. Her brother came from Berlin and with the help of the loyal (Aryan) Lenchen [Martha’s help], Jewish rites were followed, and Martha was transferred to Stendal and buried there in the
Jewish cemetery.”

I can give you more details and would be interested to learn more about the two.”
