Descendants List of Salomon & Julie (Reif) Rosenbacher

Several pieces of information lead to understanding the role of the Rosenbacher family in the life of the Jewish community of Themar. First, we knew that Rosa Rosenbacher was the wife of Ernst Gassenheimer and the mother of Herbert, Charlotte, Albert, and Margarethe Gassenheimer. Peter Gassenheimer, Rosa and Ernst’s grandson, has a photo of Rosa in the collection of documents and photos he inherited from his father Albert.

Then we learned that Rosa Gassenheimer, who died in Themar in 1925, was buried in the Marisfeld cemetery although it has not yet been possible to identify the gravestone.
