Abraham Schwab came from a family with deep roots in the southwestern region of Thüringen, or Sachsen-Meiningen as it was called earlier. The records of the Jewish Congregation/ Gemeinde of Marisfeld allow us to trace the Schwab family back to the late 1700s. To date, we don’t know a great deal more about the other members of Abraham’s family than what we present below.
