Max u. Clara Müller, Themar, an Meinhold Müller, Schweden, den 4. März 1942

Lieber Meinhold!

Max and Clara Müller, Themar, to Meinhold Müller, Sweden, March 4, 1942

Dear Meinhold!
The day before yesterday we received your card and would like to answer it herewith, although we have nothing else to report. I have been at home for 2 weeks; because of the high snow, not enough coal can be brought in for our steam engine and we have to stop working at the moment, hopefully only for a short time. – I am addressing this card to your former address, since I do not know whether you are still in the hospital. As you write, you will get the mail forwarded to the hospital. By the way, how are you? Just let yourself heal thoroughly, because rheumatism settles down easily. Yesterday was Purim, but we didn’t notice anything. Can’t you write to Herbert? We have heard nothing from Sebald and Karola since November. It is thawing heavily here now and everyone is glad that winter is coming to an end. But there is still a lot of snow here. Now I will leave the rest of the space of this card to dear Mom. Your dad sends you his best wishes for a speedy recovery.

L. Meinhold. How are you now and what kind of work do you have? We also had a card from Käthe [Nussbaum Wurms in Amsterdam]. She always writes once. Her husband also works away from home and she has to wait on us and she sends her child to the children’s home during the day. So we are alone a lot during the day. Dad and I talk a lot about you. How will it be this Easter? Do you already know where you will spend the holidays? Aunt Bertha also wrote to say hello from her. She doesn’t hear from her boys either. We want to write to Herbert through the Red Cross, but it takes a long time for him to get it. Shall I write you Käthe’s address? Hopefully this card will reach you and you will be completely healthy again. Many warm greetings from your loving mother.
